Downtown Farmers Market Opening Party

The Downtown Farmers Market celebrates the opening of its 17th season with the 2nd annual Friends of the Market party. The community is invited to join the Downtown Alliance, Squatters, growers, vendors and other Market locavores for a festive evening. Local flavors from Farmers Market food producers, live music with gypsy-jazz style guitar group Red Rock Hot Club and seasonal spirits will be provided. There will be a silent auction with products donated by artisans from the Downtown Art and Craft Market. High West Distillery will be premiering their Brigham City peach vodka and sharing other flavors made from locally-grown grains. Another local favorite, artist Tracy O'Very Covey, has created new artwork for the 2009 Farmers Market. She will be signing posters throughout the evening-an attractive addition to 17 years of collectible posters. Admission includes a year-long membership to the Friends of the Market.
