Art Access II Gallery is pleased to host Cat and Blake Palmer, photographer and mixed media artist, respectively, in Synergetic, an exhibition featuring their collaborative art. Cat Palmer typically works in black and white photography, often printed on wood or metal. Her subjects are often women and her focus is often on causes. Blake works in mixed media (acrylic paint, toner, up to three types of Xerox transfers, spray paint, markers and stencils, etc.). He describes his art, 'I have an underground urban feel to my work. I also incorporate women in all of my pieces because they are so beautiful and special to me.' The husband and wife artists have built separate reputations in their disciplines, but this is the first time that they have actually collaborated on the same work. Enjoying their experience and each using their unique skills, they quote Henry Ford on their invitation/postcard, 'Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.' Synergetic will have an artists' reception on Friday, June 19 from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
