Join Lt. Governor Gary Herbert and Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as The Springville Museum of Art dedicates the beautiful new Stewart Sculpture Garden. The impressive 24,000 square foot garden features stunning sculpture set against a backdrop of plants, flowers and fountains. The central feature of the Mediterranean-style garden is Museum founder Cyrus E. Dallin's inspirational sculpture, Spirit of Life, a symbolic piece featuring an angelic female figure holding an infant towards the heavens. The impressive outdoor gallery, a place of contemplation and beauty, features many of the Museum's sculptures not previously displayed due to space restrictions indoors. The sculptures are nestled among the impressive architecture and immaculate landscape that has been carefully created and cared for. The talents of many volunteers such as Brent Haymond and Linda Priest, have contributed to the success of the Garden. Those in attendance will enjoy an evening of inspirational words, music and art in a festive garden atmosphere. Following the dedication program, a public open house with refreshments will be held in the Garden and Museum.
