With hula hoops, volleyballs, balloons, and ping pong balls, you just can't help but feel like a kid again. Circle Cycle literally revolves around anything round! Life is not only full of circles but cycles...endless cycles of life. Beginnings becoming endings, endings becoming beginnings. Imagine looking at the world through a child's eyes. Choreographed in 1992, this dance project took over two years to complete as Shirley Ririe and Joan Woodbury collaborated with University of Utah professor Xan Johnson using intriguing dance vignettes and narrative to create a performance that reinforces the importance of taking care of the world and each other. The constant interplay of dance, narration, music, images and costume changes makes this an attention-grabbing performance which will not be easily forgotten by children and adults alike. Give your inner child a chance to play!

      The story line is very inspiring, the dancers very graceful and funny. It was an awesome expeience. A MUST SEE!!!

      Ririe-Woodbury's annual children's and family show is the perfect antidote to a cold (and arguably boring) January. Sponsors for five student matinees of the show(at which close to 9,000 Utah kids... Expand

      Ririe-Woodbury's annual children's and family show is the perfect antidote to a cold (and arguably boring) January. Sponsors for five student matinees of the show(at which close to 9,000 Utah kids will be seated free-of-charge)include Wells Fargo, Larry H. Miller Charities and the Henry W. and Leslie M. Eskuche Foundation. Individuals as far away as Las Vegas have also stepped up to help fund this acclaimed annual event for Utah students, half of whom are designated Title I. You can help bring this delightful show to public schools by attending one of the three public performances Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 and Saturday at 2:00. See you at the Capitol Theatre!
