The American Association of University Women is a national network of over 160,000 university graduates of all ages, occupations and academic backgrounds. It is the oldest and largest organization working for the advancement of women and girls, having its beginnings in 1881. All members are joined to promote equity for women and girls through action, research and lifelong learning for advancement in employment, the family and positive societal change. The 'Celebrating the Diversity of Women' art exhibition embodies these ideals by featuring 50 female artists with nearly 70 pieces of artwork in a variety of mediums.
