    August 5 - Mammal Mia! Learn about the many cool mammals that live in Utah and the Great Basin region. Touch skulls and pelts and learn what makes mammals unique. Learn why you're a mammal! Take a short walk with a naturalist to observe live deer and possibly other mammals at the Nature Center. August 12 - Hiding Habitats: Forest and Prairies Guided Habitat Walk - Meet Sampson the Red Tail Hawk and learn about the places he calls home. Then venture out on the Nature Center's trails to look for signs of wildlife and discuss how animals adapt to the dog days of summer. August 19 - Whoooo Eats Whom? Learn about predator prey relationships with Chitters the Great-horned Owl. Meet Chitters in person and get an up-close look at skulls, pelts, teeth, and more while learning about the traits that help animals survive in the wild. August 26 - Migration Station: A Back to School Special Are you ready to migrate back to school? Kick off the start of another school year by learning about animal migration. Meet live animals that migrate and learn how they travel long distances to find food and shelter.
