8th Annual Mexican Independence Day Celebration in Utah will be held at the Utah State Fair. Fiesta Mexicana will showcase the unique history and culture of Mexico with its eighth annual celebration of Mexicos Independence in Utah. This years Fiesta Mexicana will bring the participation of Mexican folkloric dance companies as well as local groups and organizations, which will prove to make the event a big cultural success. The day-long event will display Mexicos rich regional diversity in dance, food and culture. In previous years, the family- oriented, cultural event has attracted over 10,000 attendees from all over the state. Collaboration with the Utah State Fair this year will open the Fiesta Mexicana celebration to a much larger audience. The 2009 celebration marks the 199th anniversary of Mexican Independence from Spain with performances from internationally recognized Zacatecas folkloric and musical groups.
