8th Annual Healing Field Flag Memorial

This year's organizers are planning a whole new experience for the 8th Annual Healing Field Flag Memorial. Visitors will enjoy the two acre field full of large US flags again this year along with booths and displays by service organizations and veterans groups through the four day event. The Milestones of Freedom display will see its second year on the field as young and old come to walk through the flags, and read the documents that form the foundation of the country's democratic process and renew their pledge of citizenship. Here is the schedule of events: Thursday, September 10th - 6:00pm: Field set-up (volunteers needed) Friday, September 11th - Monday, September 14th: Field open to the public Friday, September 11th - 12:00pm: Memorial Ceremony and Dedication. Special awards, presentations and speakers. The University of Utah Marching Band will perform. Saturday, September 12th - Brandon's Ride Motorcycle Rally will take place. The Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Night also starts at 6:00pm. Monday, September 14th - 6:00pm: Field take-down and flag pick-up. Volunteers are needed for this event.
