Westminster College's student film club, Reel Griffins, will host the premier of their first film On the Other Side. Doubling as a fundraiser for the film club, the premiere will be complete with red carpet, formal dress and reception. On the Other Side is a 17-minute suspense film that tells the story of a college freshman, Chloe, who falls in love with a classmate who isn't quite what he appears to be. To complicate matters, a photography student begins to stalk Chloe, capturing her entire life? and the truth about her new crush? on film. The screenplay, On the Other Side was selected for production by Reel Griffins because of its intriguing storyline and plot twist, as well as its relatable characters. Westminster College students spearheaded the making of the film from writing the screenplay to post-production. However, success of the Reel Griffins' first project was made possible by their collaboration with the Salt Lake film community, volunteer actors and stunt coordinators, and contributions from Karl Gregory, Redman and MLP. Reel Griffins plans to submit On the Other Side to several film festivals over the course of the 2010 film festival season.
