The Swell Season are Glen Hansard (from the Irish band, The Frames) and Marketa Irglova (classically trained Czech pianist and vocalist). Glen and Marketa gained international acclaim and notoriety in the film Once, which earned them an Oscar for Best Song. They are touring in support of their soon to be released Strict Joy on ANTI-Records.
