A Turquoise Wind by Kurt Proctor will be the fourth and final play in the UCT 2009-2010 Free Play Reading Series! What does it mean to be a contemporary woman living in the shadow of the old west? In this companion piece to Kurt Proctor's Roundup, the tables are turned as we see the west from the woman's side. Toni has a rock shop in Moab, Utah. Lisa is a river runner. Charlotte has moved west to get in touch with her Native spirit guides. From birth to death, they explore the Native side of the west in this magical tribute to the contemporary, western woman.

I've seen several of the free play readings that UCT offers and I'm always impressed with what I see. It's very often a new play, never before produced or a play that has never been mounted in Utah... Expand
