Phillips Gallery is pleased to present: The work of international sculptor Cordell Taylor. Born in Wyoming and trained in sculpture at the U of U, Taylor is known for his abstract metal sculpture, furniture and his former Cordell Taylor Gallery. He has been a participant in downtown Salt Lakes Flying Objects project and has exhibited in the Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Japan, NY and throughout the U.S. In this exhibit he will be focusing on the figure. His simplified forms combine his impeccable forging ability with a keen eye for capturing the essence of the human form.
