The tale of Frankenstein has been reinvented countless times by the film and stage, but Tim Kelly's script returns to the original book by Mary Shelley. Audiences will delight in Halloween terror as they follow the creation of Victor's monster from the collected body parts of the graveyard to its ultimate demise. While suitable for teenagers and adults, this production is not recommended for children younger than 12 years old for thematic content and staging. The role of Victor Frankenstein will be played by BYUs David Morgan with Ward Wright playing The Creature. UVUs own Chris Clark joins the cast as Victor's best friend and accomplice Henry. Also featured are Annadee Morgan (Elizabeth), Nancy Candrian (Frau Frankenstein), Matthew Carlin (Ernst) along with Rachel Baird (Sophie) and Becca Ingram (Justine), both acting students attending BYU.

      A piece of Broadway has finally come to Utah County in the form of Frankenstein, now showing at the Provo Theater Company! The Mortal Fools Theater Project has dusted off the classic tale to bring a new caliber of story telling to the valley. Made up of professional actors and actresses turned professors at UVU and BYU, this unprecedented ensemble of gifted artists shares with us the story of a man torn between his passion for science and the destructive power of his creation.       From the reading of the cast list my expectations were high and thankfully more than met. I found myself frustrated with the hum of the lights and the voice of someone downstairs that seemed to carry... Expand

      From the reading of the cast list my expectations were high and thankfully more than met. I found myself frustrated with the hum of the lights and the voice of someone downstairs that seemed to carry into the theater. I wanted the show not to end and found myself trying to catch my breath so to speak, in each blackout, in a way gearing myself up to take in the next scene. The energy of the cast was high and left some words lost on my ears in the hurried nature of the line delivery however the emotion that accompanied kept me attached and involved with the characters. This show is a must see at any time but for this piece at Halloween it would be a crime not to see it. Collapse
