The Woodbury Art Museum exists out of the generosity of Orrin and Wally Woodbury. Their gracious donation of funds sought to create an art museum on the campus of Utah Valley University. Within a short time it became evident that the critical shortage of space on campus would not permit the formation of the art museum. Thus, as owners of the Woodbury Corporation, they made available the upper floor of the former J.C. Penney's store at the University Mall when it underwent significant remodeling and expansion. The Museum is approximately one mile from the main campus on the same major arterial.
