Cultural stories will be presented, including one based on an Afro Brazilian healing ritual by guest choreographer, Lorin Hansen, and a West African harvest celebration by Rosie Banchero, both with live drummers. The personalities of magical woodland fairies will come to life through choreography by UVU faculty, Ashley Mott. Contemporary dance takes on personal stories about the transformation of releasing the past, individual redemption, and finding humor in growing older. A hip hop piece will explore the increasing prevalence of violence in our world.
