Weber State University Department of Performing Arts presents an evening of opera scenes directed by Dr. Karen Brookens, accompanied by Donna Dooley and performed by vocal music students in the department in the Garrison Choral Room (Room 136), Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts. Scenes from Carmen, The Marriage of Figaro, Tales of Hoffman, Carlisle Floyd's Suzannah; as well musical theatre scenes from The Secret Garden, Leonard Bernstein's 'Candide and Stephen Sondheim's Follies. All scenes are fully staged with costumes, scenery and props. The Opera Program at Weber State University is flourishing with talent and opportunities. More and more students are starting to see and hear what Weber State University has to offer them in the area of opera study.
