The Masque of Beauty and the Beast is the classic tale of a monster, half man, half beast, that possesses unexplainable powers. A Merchant has lost his way in the forest and stumbles upon the Beast's castle prison. He plucks a rose for his youngest daughter as the owner appears in a fury! The Beast sentences the Merchant to death unless he agrees to give up one of his daughters.
