Blood Wedding
March 3-March 20, 2010
On the evening of her wedding day, a young bride deserts her newlywed husband and runs away with her former love. Exploring themes of family, honor, and death, this tragic masterpiece is considered the greatest Spanish play of the twentieth century. Federico Garcia Lorca weaves together poetry, dancing, folk music, and striking visual images to tell the heart-wrenching story of the three ill-fated lovers.
