In 1930, the era of Silent Pictures is finished and talking pictures have taken over as the new norm. Marshall Studios is out to film (in one take!) Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance" as a talking picture. Roger Marshall is a cheapskate who has cheaply hired a number of out-of-work silent film actors whose voices should never be heard, and a group of amazing vocalists whose faces would never make it on the big screen. The vocalists rebel against their treacherous contracts and take over the studio and a batch of tap-dancing cops try to sort things out. It is basically "The Pirates of Penzance" meets "Singin' In The Rain." You may never stop laughing!
