Westminster Hosts Silent Art Auction for Haiti Earthquake Victims

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College will host a silent art auction and fundraiser for victims of the Haiti earthquake on May 8, 2010, at 5 p.m. in the Special Events Room in the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center

 

The event will feature art work from around the community, and all the proceeds will be donated directly to the Doctors Without Borders Haitian Relief Fund. There will be door prizes and free food at the fundraiser.

 

“The earthquake in Haiti has devastated thousands of lives. We encourage people to participate in this art auction to help Doctors Without Borders provide crucial medical supplies and treatment to those in need,” said Tyler O’Donnell, Westminster student and event coordinator.

 

Artists who are interested in donating artwork can contact O’Donnell at (303) 808-8073, or email at odonnell0609@gmail.com. The deadline for entry is May 1. Artists can drop off the art at Westminster’s Center for Civic Engagement, or can arrange to have it picked up.
