Performance for Children with Autism

The Utah Symphony | Utah Opera will present a concert for children with autism and their families at Abravanel Hall. The performance will feature the Utah Symphony and the Utah Opera Ensemble Resident Artists. Associate Conductor David Cho will lead the orchestra in the 45-minute program featuring pieces by Mozart, Rossini, Humperdinck and Offenbach. "It's often difficult for families with autistic children to attend cultural events where the audience is asked to remain quiet and still. This concert provides an environment where parents can bring their children without worrying about behavior that would be considered disruptive in other concerts," said Paula Fowler, Director of Education for USUO. The concert was created for children with autism and their families, but all families with special needs children are welcome.
