This latest series of work is based on love of atmospheric landscapes, open spaces and distant horizons. Some of the favorite places to be are on the edge of a cliff, or top of a mountain looking out over a valley. These new paintings are a response to his memories of such places. They are meant to convey environments of contemplative stillness, peaceful quite moods: or moments when light moves across the landscape illuminating the horizon.
