Resurrection: Glen Canyon and a New Vision for the American West
June 5, 2010
Add Review/CommentThe City Library presents Annette McGivney and James Kay, the author and photographer of Resurrection: Glen Canyon and a New Vision for the American West. McGivney will discuss western water policy and how a decision to protect a reemerging Glen Canyon could encourage a cultural and political shift toward environmentally sustainable lifestyles and business practices in the United States. Kay will discuss his five-year photographic project to document the beauty of the canyons as the waters of Lake Powell receded. They will also show a 30-minute film featuring Kay's photography along with historical video clips of Glen Canyon before the dam.
