The All Horse Parade is fun for people of all ages. This parade’s unique charm lies in the fact that only horse-related entries are invited to participate and viewers can see them all at close range. Spectators of all ages will enjoy the excitement of tiny miniatures to giant draft horses, from 4-H youth groups to traditional riding groups including the National Pony Express Association. Large performing groups, such as the Friesians, traditionally bring much excitement with flags, flashy costumes and well-trained mounts. Don’t miss these beautiful horses, their skilled riders in colorful costumes and some of the grandest carriages around. Smaller family-oriented riding groups mix with royalty in this Wild West show. The rambunctious “Cold Water Gang” (a local band of outlaws) will likely be around to stir up some trouble before, during and after the parade. Bring the whole family and enjoy an exciting time at one of the country’s largest all-horse parades.

The parade route is approximately 1.3 miles. It starts at the intersection of 10000 South and 240 West then travels east one-half block to the west-side lanes of the Centennial Parkway. It travels south on the Parkway and loops around at the end, then turns north up the east-side lanes of the Parkway, returning to 10000 South. The route turns east one-half block to Civic Center Drive, north on Civic Center Drive and winds around Sandy City Hall to the starting point.
