Formed in Issaquah, WA in 1993, Modest Mouse has become one of the most well-known and widely successful underground bands to emerge in the past decade. The band's impressive career began at smaller, independent labels that were perfect outlets for their alternative and gritty punk-influenced sound showcased on their earlier albums. Signing with Epic Records in 2000, the band has since released three of their most highly praised albums, including 2007's We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, which hit #1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
