Basic Landscape Design
Tuesday August 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 10am-noon or 6:00-8:00 pm
Cost: $40.00 (for the 4-week course)
Instructor: Larry Sagers
Get professional results whether designing your first landscape or remodeling an existing landscape. Learn the proven step by step process for creating a design you will enjoy. The class covers designing the public and service areas and helps you include water wise landscape principles. The class includes a free 15-minute individual consultation on your landscape plan by a USU Extension Service Master Gardener.
Spectacular Spring Flower Bed Designs

Wonderful spring flower gardens don’t just happen. They are created by gardeners who know what to plant in the fall. Learn to choose the bulbs, winter annuals, biennials and spring blooming perennials that will create the wonderful, showy gardens you see here and at Temple Square. Learn how to plan and plant similar flowerbeds in your own landscape.
Creating Fabulous Fall Color in the Landscape

Fall is one fourth of the year but is an often neglected gardening season. Creating a fabulous fall garden with many fall colors ablaze in your landscape requires planning. Larry Sagers will help you create the finest fall garden in the neighborhood by helping you select the trees, shrubs, perennials and ornamental grasses to give you a riot of fall color in your landscape. Other class topics will be fall pruning of ornamental trees and shrubs and how and when to divide perennials.
Advanced Landscape Design
November 2, 9, and 16 10:00 am-12:30 am
Cost: $40.00(for the 3 week course)
Instructor: Larry Sagers
Learn how to incorporate advanced design and labor–saving maintenance features into your landscape. Learn how to design exciting and useful garden rooms that set your landscape apart from the ordinary. This course focuses on using plants to solve problems in the landscape, integrating the plants, hardscapes and successful plant arrangement. You must have taken the Basic Landscape Design course first before you take this course.
