CIPHER the choreography of Artistic Director Charlotte Boye-Christensen with a full evening of her distinctive and compelling work. This performance will feature the premiere of her multi-media project in collaboration with Utah author David Kranes and architect Nathan Webster. All three will illuminate?through dance, story-telling and the continuous morphing of stage spaces?moments of personal choice and revelation made at a critical young age relating to madness.

The dynamic 2009 work "Gravity," performed to the contemporary music of Copenhagen-based FIGURA Ensemble, approaches the push and pull of the Earth's force as a scientific principal and psychological barrier. In response to Charlotte's work, the Salt Lake Tribune wrote, "The emotional narratives in these dances are abstract, but the tension and kinetic energy tell a story that are common to us all."
