The Beat Goes On is an exhibit of musical instruments and textiles from various countries. The exhibit and accompanying lecture demonstrations are presented by Eastern Arts, a non-profit arts organization in Salt Lake City, in conjunction with the Springville World Folkfest and with funding from the Utah Humanities Council.

      This event is held in conjunction with the Springville World Folk Fest. The lecture demonstrations will be held at the Brown House Gallery on Wed. July 28 at noon and again on Sat. July 31 at noon and at 7:00 pm. Speakers will be Prof. Jeremy Grimshaw, Dr. Lloyd Miller and Katherine St. John speaking on Preserving Cultural Traditions and demonstrating some of the items in the exhibit. Items include traditional musical instruments, fabrics and clothing from Bulgaria, China, Iran, Turkey, Uzbekistan, So. Korea and more. Collapse
