100 Herriman Youth along with Herriman Arts council present We Build this City on Rock and Roll, an original youth musical. Gameville City's chess tournament is coming up, will the girl's chess team or the boy's chess team win. The plot thickens as you see the team captains are neighbors and neighborhood pranks ensue. Enjoy the storyline through blockbuster hits from th '80s. Story concept and script by Michelle Willis, Jeana Quigley, and Linda Smith.

      It's not Shakespeare, but this show is one of the best kids shows I've seen in a while! It involved a million kids (slight exaggeration), and they all looked like they were having a fantastic time!... Expand

      It's not Shakespeare, but this show is one of the best kids shows I've seen in a while! It involved a million kids (slight exaggeration), and they all looked like they were having a fantastic time! The rain was coming down pretty hard during the show last night, and the cast and crew handled the situation with aplomb--especially the newsboy, who had to start the show twice but gave the same great performance both times! The choreography was age-appropriate and fun for the kids, as well as the audience, and each dance number had different "leads", giving a large number of kids the chance to hold a microphone or lead the dance. The audience (admittedly made up mostly of proud parents and grandparents...) definitely got their money's worth. Other communities looking for a children's show project would do well to follow Herriman's lead! Collapse
