    http://WILD WEDNESDAYS – MIGRATION STATION: A BACK TO SCHOOL SPECIAL
    Wednesday, September 1 at 3:30 pm
    Free for ONC members or $2 children / $3 seniors / $4 adults
    Are you ready to migrate back to school? Kick off another school year by learning about animal migration. Meet live animals that migrate and learn how they travel long distances to find food and shelter.

    TIRE CRAFTING
    Saturday, September 4 from 10 am - noon
    Cost: $30 ($5 of fee donated to ONC)
    Ages: adults
    This workshop is designed to help you create a garden now in preparation for next spring’s planting season. You’ll learn how to recycle, conserve & grow fresh produce to share with your family and neighbors. No matter the space or layout of your yard, you can garden and harvest a maximum yield with minimum space, time, and expense. Those with health and mobility concerns can garden on porches, patios or driveways by recycling discarded tires into planters. Local tire crafting and gardening experts Paul and Jo Farber will facilitate this workshop. Please call 801-621-7595 to pre-register. A raffle drawing will send one attendee home with a tire planter!

    Free for ONC members or $2 children / $3 seniors / $4 adults
    Can you walk like a bear? Are your feet larger than a skunk’s? Get the answers to these questions and more while learning how to identify the amazing autographs that animals leave behind.

    WILD WEDNESDAYS – CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE NATURAL KIND

    Free for ONC members
    Or $2 children / $3 seniors / $4 adults
    Have you ever wondered what the world looks like to an ant? Using a microscope you’ll get the chance to find out. With the help of a teacher naturalist you’ll have a close encounter of the natural kind.

    WILDWOODS BASH!
    Saturday, September 18 at 5 pm
    Tickets are $60 per person or $1000 for a table of 8.
    The Ogden Nature Center presents a special celebration of the 25th annual Wildwoods Bash – the Nature Center’s annual fundraising event. Enjoy an outdoor party featuring a gourmet dinner, audible and silent auctions and live jazz by Don Keipp and friends. All proceeds support Ogden Nature Center’s mission to unite people with nature and nurture appreciation and stewardship of the environment. Call 801-621-7595 for reservations or for more information. Reservations can also be made through the Ogden Nature Center website at www.ogdennaturecenter.org. Please make your reservation by September 6.

    WILD WEDNESDAYS – FALL INTO AUTUMN

    Fall has arrived! Help bring in the new season as we learn how animals and plants adapt to a changing environment of less sunlight and cooler temperatures. Don’t forget to wear your best flannel shirt!

    KUNDALINI YOGA FOR BEGINNERS
    8-week session
    Mondays, beginning September 27 from 6:30 - 7:45 pm
    or Thursday, beginning September 30 from 6:30 - 7:45 pm
    $45 members / $50 non-members
    Ages: adult
    This Kundalini Yoga class is ideal for beginners or for those who want a gentle Kundalini practice. Bring your own yoga mat and blanket. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Taught by instructor Bruce Fisk. Please pre-register by calling 801-621-7595.

    PRESCHOOL DISCOVERY DAYS– BIZZY BUZZY BUGS
    Choose a time:
    Friday, September 24: 9:30 am, 11 am, or 1 pm
    Cost: $4 per child / adult chaperones are free
    Ages: 3-5
    Buzz and crawl around the Nature Center as you hunt and net insects. See a spider up close, grow your own wings, sing buggy songs and hear buggy stories. Programs are one hour. Pre-registration and deposit required. No walk-ins. Please call 801-621-7595 to sign up.

    COLORFUL CONFUSION
    Saturday, September 25 from 10 – 11 am
    $2 members / $3 non-members
    Ages: 5+
    Join the Ogden Nature Center staff to explore how animals use color through games and activities around the nature preserve. Pre-registration is required by 5 pm Friday,
    September 24.
     

    The Ogden Nature Center is located at 966 W. 12th Street in Ogden, Utah. TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES or for more information, please call 801-621-7595. Class sizes are limited to ensure a quality experience. Call in your reservation and pay with credit card or come in person to pay with cash or check.
