John Thompson is a self-taught leather crafter whose various armor projects began by participating in medieval reenactment and combat. After a trip to New Orleans, John began also creating hand made leather masquerade masks. Because he is color blind, he has collaborated with Vandy Marcotte, a skilled canvas artist.
