Nationally, the prevalence rate of epilepsy is 1 in 100. Margo Thurman from the Epilepsy Association of Utah (EAU) will be here to educate us on the types of epilepsy and how to respond and give assistance to a student or colleague who has an epileptic seizure. Margo is a retired educator; she was a special education teacher and dealt with epilepsy in the classroom; she was a coordinator and an assistant principal.
