Dr. Carroll's presentation explores the sources of chemicals and the major processes that transform them into products that make modern life possible. Special attention is paid to the 100 largest volume chemicals manufactured and the taxonomy, ecology and interdependence of chemicals, processes and industries. And by the way-it doesn't all come from the oil well or the organic textbook.
