Green Cello: Rated PG for Language & Low Violins
December 20, 2010
Add Review/Comment
The Salty Cricket Composers Collective (SC3) is a crunchy, savory New Music ensemble that performs the works of living composers who currently reside in Utah. Experience the collective.
Our last performance of the 2010 season is nearly here: Green Cello (Rated PG for Language and Low Violins) on Monday, December 20. I'm sure you're as sad as we are and might cry yourself to sleep a few times because of the loss of Salty Cricket from your life. Never fear: we'll be back though, in fall 2011!
We are super excited for this show. We have amazing players:
Brant Bayless, Principal Viola for Utah Symphony
Leslie Richards, a DMA student in Viola at the U of U and a frequent Utah Symphony sub (she is also a Salty Cricket alumna, having performed with us in the 2009 season)
Walter Haman, Utah Symphony cellist
Kevin Shumway, Utah Symphony cellist
Two words about the above musicians' skills: BOO YEA
Two pieces involve singers: Mary Phillips Cash, and yours truly, Crystal Young-Otterstrom who will pretend to be a mezzo-soprano.
Nothing like a little New Music to kick of your Holiday week!
