An intensive full-day workshop with Jungian Analyst David Schoen.

Come inside to a place of enlightenment with Jungian Analyst David Schoen. This workshop will provide you with a deeper understanding of the psychodynamics of addiction, treatment and recovery, including the creation of the addiction-shadow complex. He will address what is involved in the healing process from the perspective of AA's 12 step program, and amplify the concept of archetypal evil and shadow in fairytales and religions. Finally, Schoen will touch on how the dreams of alcoholics and other addicted individuals can be significant in diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. This workshop will be of value for analysts, addiction and substance abuse counselors, 12 step members and their families, as well as anyone interested in learning more about addictive behavior and its treatment.

Jungian Analyst David Schoen has over 30 years experience as an addictions counselor. He is a senior analyst in the Inter Regional Society of Jungian Analysts, and the cofounder of the Jung Society of Baton Rouge. He is a lecturer, writer of several internationally published books and a Louisiana poet. His books include Divine Tempest: The Hurricane as a Psychic Phenomenon and The War of Gods in Addiction: C.G. Jung, Alcoholics Anonymous and Archetypal Evil.

All mental health professionals are eligible to receive six complimentary CEUs.
