Gordon Eddington Copper Art Exhibit
May 27-June 19, 2011
Add Review/CommentThe Process of Art on Copper: Gordon takes an image, usually from his photography, and then creates a mosaic pattern from the design. He then transfers the pattern to a piece of copper sheeting. Once this is done the copper is cut into pieces that can be fired with a torch. The type of enamel, translucent or opaque, and the color and the amount of heat determines the outcome of the firing. Once the pieces are fired, they are reassembled and mounted on a steel plate and framed.
