The State Department meant to send an invitation to represent American theatre at a Paris arts expo to Ethel Barrymore, but somehow it managed to find its way to chorus girl Ethel Dynamite Jackson. S. Winthrop Putnam is the State Department underling trying to fix the mix-up and save his career. Doris Day and Ray Bolger star in this rousing musical film.
