Soil is what fuels your garden. It's what feeds your plants from the roots up, and creates healthy and delicious fruits and vegetables. The key to creating healthy soil is compost. Whether you are an avid gardener trying to incorporate organic methods into your veggie beds or new to the whole garden scene, this workshop will help you understand the science behind making compost. Learn what to use and not to use, how to layer, turn, water and how to build a compost bin in your own backyard. Nothing is more satisfying than being able to grow the biggest and best fruits, veggies and herbs in your garden without having to buy any amendments from your local garden center. Take one more step towards sustainability, and make your garden happy... compost! Registration Required.
