When Charlie, a desperately shy Englishman, comes to a rural fishing lodge in Georgia, he pretends to be a foreigner from an exotic country who doesn't speak English so he won't have to talk to the locals. The Foreigner demonstrates what can happen when a group of devious characters must deal with a stranger who knows no English.
