In its 235-year history, the United States has upheld the Constitutional ideals of religious freedom, creating a religiously tolerant society as envisioned by those who laid the foundations for our republic. As immigrants continue to arrive from around the world, they bring diverse religious traditions and cultures to our cities and neighborhoods.
