A trio of exhilarating early works by three giants of Russian music history. Scottish conductor Garry Walker makes his Utah Symphony debut on a program that features the romantic first symphony of Igor Stravinsky and the Ukrainian folk music infused second Symphony of Tchaikovsky. Russian pianist Denis Kozhukhin also appears in Abravanel Hall for the first time on Sergei Prokofiev's youthful but masterful first Piano Concerto.
