Are you a jaguar or a saint? Or both? Masks allow imagination and creativity. Not only are they fun and liberating, they also are a powerful connection to Mexico's history, mixing indigenous beliefs, European religious beliefs, and contemporary beliefs. A scholar will talk about the history of masks in Mexico and artist Jorge Rojas will teach students to create paper mache masks that reflect their own ideas of who they are, or who they might be!
