This performance offers violin sonatas by Ives and Ravel, performed by Utah Symphony Concertmaster Ralph Matson, along with recent works by important living composers from America and France, Jason Eckardt and Pierre Boulez. This concert also includes a commissioned work for string trio by Steve Roens, a distinguished professor of composition at the University of Utah who is very active in the Salt Lake City chamber music scene.
