Outside the Homeland: The Intermountain Indian School Exhibit
Presented by Utah Humanities Council at Brigham City Museum-Gallery
May 10-June 28, 2012
Now a collection of abandoned buildings, the Intermountain Indian School opened its doors to Navajo students in 1950. The exhibition and accompanying programming will explore the history of the school, including how it came to be, its thirty-odd years of existence, and its demise, as well as the experience of students who attended the school.
