Children's Opera Showcase

Utah Opera and the Imagination Celebration of Salt Lake City will give local elementary school students a chance to take the spotlight in the eighth annual Children’s Opera Showcase. The participating children collaborate with their teachers and local composers to write original stories and music for each opera. Then the children become the stars of the show, singing their own operas with their own sets and costumes.

The evening will include three opera’s from three different schools. First graders from Dilworth Elementary will present an opera titled “The Journey Home,” 3rd graders from South Weber Elementary will present “The Road of the Ruby” and 6th graders from Woodrow Wilson Elementary will present “Dragon Fable.”
