Frontier Fest, a celebration of Utah’s cultural heritage, will take place at Gardner Village in West Jordan. The sights, sounds and color of the frontier encountered by the pioneers in 1847 come alive as storytellers, re-enactors, musicians, square dancers, cowboy poets, songwriters and craftsman of all types and ages perform and exhibit. Concerts, games, food and family fun can be found all day both days.

Ticketed events in the Gathering Place include “Frontier StoryFest”, “Frontier Hoedown” and “Caboose” in Concert on Friday and the new Utah Heritage Arts Production “The Ghosts of Gardner Village” on Saturday.

Free events throughout the Village include Pioneer Re-enactor exhibits and Corner Concerts by bluegrass and folk musicians both days as well as the first annual “Clogging Showdown” on Friday and the “Little Buckaroo and Pioneer Parade” followed by the first annual “Byron Anderson Old-Time Music Festival” on Saturday.

Organized by Clog America and Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts, proceeds from Frontier Fest will support preservation of Utah’s heritage arts. For detailed information and schedules, go to www.upharts.org or www.clogamerica.org.
