    Throughout much of the nineteenth century, British artists created impressive paintings that depicted stories from both ancient history and contemporary life with a richness of color and wealth of detail that captured the admiration of the age. Masterworks of Victorian Art from the Collection of John H. Schaeffer includes paintings and drawings by some of the most widely acclaimed artists of the era and provides a rare opportunity to view some of the most beautiful and well-crafted works of this period.
