Shearing's Songs and Sonnets is a delightful jazz piece that sets seven Shakespearean texts in innovative ways-without diminishing the original poetic beauty. And finally, written for Shearing's 75th birthday, John Rutter's Birthday Madrigals is a five-movement composition that draws from classic madrigal texts…presenting them in a way you didn't learn in high school! Join us for an enchanting evening of romantic jazz.
