The Utah Arts Festival strives to maintain the highest artistic quality and excellence. It presents a wide variety of performing, visual, and literary arts, and seeks to present the best Utah artists and their contemporaries worldwide. The Festival presents several core events annually: an Artists Marketplace; a Culinary Arts program; and a Performing Arts program. The Festival augments these core events each year with new and creative programs, artists, performances, and site elements, thereby ensuring each event is an innovative and unique celebration of the arts. To preserve its reputation for artistic excellence, all artistic work presented by the Utah Arts Festival is either juried or curated by professional artists and arts administrators. Storytelling events featuring Julie Barnson, Barbara Blackhurst, Nola Van Wagener, Brian J Fetzer, Karl Behling, Larry Cesspooch, Janine Nishiguchi, Carol Esterreicher and Suzanne Hudson will be taking place throughout the festival. A detailed schedule is available on the festival website.

My husband and I go every year, every day, all day/night. There is something for everybody and the setting is absolutely the best! I've grown to look forward to the Big Mouth Cafe and Fear No Film! The art is so varied and wonderful. I love all of the "yard art." The musical groups are superb. The food....the FOOD!! What can I say? Hygynks (hope I spelled it correctly) sometimes makes several sets of their "rhythm sticks" available to practice with. We love bringing our visitors from out of state. The main library plaza spectaculars are really something to look forward to. Be sure to stop at the Mad Hatters and create a spectacle of your own to wear! Last year the Writing Center featured 9 different Storytellers and other inspiring performing artists too. We look forward to attending and being surprised by something new and spectacular each year! Thanks to everyone who participates and to those who are responsible for this event happening! Collapse
