Organization

The Bluff Arts Festival, now in its third year, brings together previously isolated local events into a single gathering over one long beautiful fall-weather weekend. Taking place in and around the town of Bluff, an active center for artists and crafts people as well as others involved in oil exploration, farming and ranching. Within this area of national parks, prehistoric sites, diverse cultures, wild canyons and river recreation, tourism has become a strong component in the local economy. The festival centers on a major literary evening, this year showcasing Terry Tempest Williams, the great ecological prophet of the Southwest.
